Terminology

User

The user is your login to the system consisting of a email address, password and your name. A user can have access to one or more accounts.

Account

An account is used to organize devices and configurations. Accounts are completely independent from each other and can be managed by one or more users. A device can only be assigned to one account at a time.

Device

A device identifies a hardware unit. Each device is assigned to one account and is identified by it’s serial number as well as a custom name and location. A device is always assigned to one configuration group.

Configuration group

A config group can have different settings, apps, etc. A group can extend a existing group to inherent it configuration or be completely separated.
