Which config group is assigned to new devices?
The default group for new devices is selected by the following criteria (from top to bottom):
- If there is only one group with the exact name ”[DEFAULT]”, that group is used
- If there is only one group without a parent, that group is used
- Otherwise, the first group in the list without a parent is used
How can I update the Manager or Staging app?
As of version 1.2.0, there is a client setting called “Self-Update”. Simply add that setting in a config group and the Manager will update both itself and the Staging app if a new version is released.
For older version, to get to v1.2.0 initially or if you want manual control over the updates, you can also use a normal app install config. Create two entries (for Staging and Manager) with the following values for your device:
